We have all had time to rest and consider what we have heard from our colleagues and mentors from the German Hovawart Club RZV. Many thanks to everyone who found the opportunity to participate in our breed events. A holiday can only happen when we all take an active part in it!
Our great friends came to visit us at the seminar and championship: Hof Gartz Hovawart kennel (Moscow, owners Vladimir and Anna Galitsky) with a big team of Hovawarts and their owners (overall 30 Hovawarts). During the preparation of the Championship and the seminar, to the very last moment, we couldn't even imagine that our events would bring together so many fans of our breed and their pets! I am very grateful to our great friends Vladimir and Anna Galitsky for active participation in the preparation, organization of all events, and most importantly, for the opportunity to come to us in Kharkov with a wonderful group of Hovawarts and their parents. After all, over many years of communication, many of this friendly group have become our good friends. Our Ukrainian Hovawarts and their owners also joined the seminar. The total number of participants this time was: 54 dogs were registered, 44 of them took part with their owners! Unfortunately, not all registered participants were able to come to us, the autumn bad weather interfered. It is nice that every year our All-Ukrainian Hovawart Breed Club Championship gathers more and more representatives and friends of our wonderful breed!
So, in the period from October 22, 2012 to October 26, 2012 in Kharkov there was a seminar on the breed Hovawart, with leading German breed experts, cynologists participating:
- Michael Kunz, world-renowned breed expert, chairman of the judging committee of the RZV Hovawart Club, kermaster, breeder;
- breeding instructors Thomas and Sonja Fehlbusch.
Our friends and like-minded people also took part in the seminar: IPO instructors, our handlers. After our show days (we had three shows on October 20-21, 2012: the Championship of the Breed, CAC and CACIB shows) the participants of the breed seminar had an opportunity to communicate with Michael Kunz and the Fellbusch couple during the next 5 days of the seminar.
The seminar program included practical and theoretical classes for our Hovawarts and their owners, as well as testing of our dogs. Furthermore, our seminar included a visit of an ophthalmologist from Moscow, Chernousova Irina Viktorovna (vet clinic Belanta, Moscow).
On October 22, 2012 all the participants of our seminar had an opportunity to be examined by the ophthalmologist Chernousova I.V.
All the dogs received a relevant certificate from the ophthalmologist according to the results of the examinations. It is good that no problems were found with our dogs. Some enthusiastic people fond of the Malamute breed came to our seminar with their pets as well, and they also had an opportunity to get their dogs examined by the ophthalmologist.
The days of our seminar flew by very quickly!
It was a pleasure to meet all together! It was very nice and interesting to meet Michael Kunz, chairman of the judging committee of the RZV Hovawart Club, and the spouses Thomas and Sonja Fellbusch.
I want to thank all the participants of our breed event for their willingness to come to our beloved breed festival!
I am pleased to tell that at the end of the seminar Michael Kunz highly praised our favorite Hovawarts, their upbringing! We plan joint activities with the RZV club in the future. We hope for long and lasting relations with the German club RZV.
We plan to hold the following events next year: Breed Seminar, the All-Ukrainian Hovawart Breed Club Championship and Hovawart Monobreed Show. At the moment we are negotiating with the German club RZV about dates and topics of the seminar, and we are now gathering a team of like-minded people to our events! The expected dates of the All-Ukrainian Hovawart Breed Club Championship and Seminar will be from September 14 to September 22, 2013.
We invite everyone to the All-Ukrainian Hovawart Breed Club Championship in 2013! We also look forward to seeing you at our seminar classes! See you soon!
